Privacy Policy for Cairnly

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Cairnly is designed as a privacy-first, offline-first app for storing personal item records, receipts, warranty information, notes, and related attachments.

1. Data Storage

Cairnly stores your items, notes, receipt information, attachments, and generated Claim Pack documents locally on your device. Cairnly does not require an account, backend server, or cloud service to use the core app.

2. Data Collection

Cairnly does not collect personal data on a server, does not use analytics, does not use advertising tracking, and does not sell user data.

3. OCR and Document Processing

Cairnly may use Apple on-device technologies to recognize text from images, scans, or PDF documents. Text recognition is performed on your device. Your documents are not uploaded by Cairnly for OCR processing.

4. Attachments and Files

When you add photos, PDFs, or other supported attachments to an item, Cairnly stores those files locally in the app’s storage area on your device. If you choose to delete an item or remove local files, Cairnly may remove the related local files from the app’s storage.

5. Sharing and Export

Cairnly allows you to preview and share generated Claim Pack PDF documents. These PDFs may contain item details, notes, and attachment metadata. Sharing only happens when you choose to share or export a document using the system share sheet.

6. Purchases

Cairnly Pro Lifetime is offered as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Purchase processing is handled by Apple. Cairnly does not receive or store your payment card details.

7. Third-Party Services

Cairnly does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, Firebase, Supabase, or external backend services.

8. Children’s Privacy

Cairnly is not intended to collect personal information from children. Since Cairnly does not collect data on a server, no children’s personal data is knowingly collected by Cairnly.

9. Data Control

You control the data stored in Cairnly. You can edit or delete your items inside the app. You can also remove the app from your device to delete app data according to iOS system behavior.

10. iCloud and CloudKit

Cairnly may use Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit services to synchronize your Cairnly data across your Apple devices. When you enable iCloud Sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud account and private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. Apple provides and operates the iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure. The developer does not access, view, or control the contents of your private iCloud data and does not use that data for advertising, analytics, or any other independent purpose. Cairnly does not operate its own server to store your personal Cairnly records. Your use of iCloud and CloudKit is subject to Apple’s applicable iCloud terms and privacy policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
